So Why Would Apple Give Away Millions of Dollars of Music?
On September 9, 2014 Apple launched their new iPhone, Apple Pay, and their new Apple Watch in a great launch event. At the very end of the event, Apple offered U2’s new album, Songs of Innocence to anyone using iTunes, for FREE. But how did they use this as a lead magnet?
What does Apple know about giving away millions of dollars and why you should model it?
U2 is one of the biggest bands in the world and has a huge following. Apple knew that by offering their album on iTunes for free that they could convert a huge amount of new iTunes users. These new users will eventually buy music from iTunes. Apple created an amazing lead magnet offer.
